Buns and rolls this week come from three local producers:
Hotdog buns and sesame-seeded burger buns come in packs of eight by Hawthorne Valley Farm, a nonprofit made up of diverse initiatives committed to the renewal of soil, society, and self by integrating agriculture, education, and art.
Challah burger buns come in packs of four by Our Old House Bakery, a home-based bakery in Philmont, NY. Soft, slightly sweet, and sprinkled on top with sesame seeds, these buns are reminiscent of brioche without the dairy.
Traditional dinner rolls this week come by the half-dozen by Hawks Roost, a small family farm in East Chatham, NY.
